Job summary

DNA Vetcare is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our supportive team at Winton Lodge Vets in Epsom. The role involves assisting the vet and nurse teams, keeping a clean, hygienic environment, handling animals, and helping on reception.

You will be supported by experienced Vets, RVNs and the management team, with opportunities for CPD and the option to train to become an RVN. This full-time position includes a 1:3 Saturday rota.

Winton Lodge Vets our Epsom & Leatherhead sites are thriving, and we are looking for a proactive and dedicated Veterinary Care Assistant to join the supportive team, by bringing your skills, charisma, and dedication to patient care to our consulting room and theatres.

You will be supported by our experienced management team, who will be there with you every step of the way, alongside our Vets, RVN & Support Teams.

This is a Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week with a share of 1:3 Saturdays.

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the vet and nurse teams, by maintaining a clean and hygenic environment at all times, assisting with animal handling, working on reception, and providing support to the RVN & Vets as needed. You must be comfortable and competent in monitoring low level anesthetics.

We boast opportunities for growth, with extra CPD opportunities, and the option of training to become an RVN. In the past year, our RVNs have achieved further qualification in anesthesia, ECC, physiotherapy, behaviour, and diet.
