Job summary

Optinergy, part of the Galetech Group, is recruiting an experienced Wind Turbine Technician to support operations across Northern Ireland. Based out of Dungiven with travel across NI, this field-based role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance of wind turbines, with strong emphasis on Vestas platforms (V27-V52).

You will work under the Regional Manager, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault response, and safety-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Proven wind industry experience.
• Strong experience on Vestas V27-V52 platforms.
• Time-served electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
• Multi-skilled across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience servicing and repairing wind turbine generators.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing in line with OEM procedures.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control systems.
• Respond to turbine breakdowns promptly to maximise availability.
• Support component replacements and corrective maintenance activities.
• Record maintenance activities and report to the Regional Manager.
