Job summary

Careers On The Thames is seeking a Production Controller within our Engineering Department in the Greater London area. The role involves planning, coordinating, monitoring and controlling all production activities to ensure vessel compliance and on-time, on-budget modifications or projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning for a transport sector role.
• Marine engineering knowledge or hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with ISM safety management systems.
• Familiarity with IMO High Speed Craft Code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations in an engineering environment.
• Ensure compliance of UBTC fleet through effective planning.
• Plan Vessel Appearance tasks for Vessel Appearance teams (days and nights).
• Maximise vessel availability while maintaining compliance and high appearance standards.
• Lead and train the production controllers; delegate tasks.
• Develop KPIs to drive improvements and efficiencies in Engineering and Vessel Appearance teams.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure defects are included in work packs and cleared within 30 days.
• Assist with general engineering duties including holiday cover and stock system tasks.
• Act as a role model and champion of company values.
• Pursue continuous improvements in processes, safety, quality and customer experience.
• Undertake other duties as requested by HOD or senior management.
