Job summary

Boskalis Subsea Services in Aberdeen invites you to take on the role of Vessel Manager (Dive). You will be the focal point for vessel operations, working closely with the vessel, Marine and Dive maintenance teams, ensuring proactive supplier management, cost control and operation within budgets.

Your duties include supervising fleet operations and dive systems, coordinating repairs and dry docking, maintaining onboard safety and staff development, and preparing budgets with the Assets Head.

Qualifications

  • Experience on board offshore vessels or DP2 on Dive vessels.
  • Understanding of DP, Dive, Marine Operations and Class/Flag requirements.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Autonomous work style with ability to collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise technical operation of the fleet per Head of Assets.
  • Oversee dive systems' technical operations on board assets.
  • Coordinate with departments to meet Class/Flag requirements.
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, dry docking and projects.
  • Maintain high-quality onboard working environment.
  • Support staff and crew development and coaching.
  • Establish a communication schedule for stakeholders.
  • Oversee vessel/project budget preparation and management.
  • Monitor and approve budgeted expenditures.
  • Monitor budget and contribute to monthly expenditure/forecast reports with Finance.

How you can make your mark

Make your mark as Vessel Manager (Dive) for Boskalis Subsea Services located in Aberdeen and be the focal point for all aspects of vessel operations. As Vessel Manager you work closely together with both the vessel, on Marine and Dive maintenance, as well as our Operations department. You ensure proactive supplier management, cost control and delivering the operation of the vessel in line with approved budgets.


Your responsibilities as a Vessel Manager:



  • Supervision of the technical operation of the Fleet as established by/with the Head of Assets.

  • Supervision on the technical operation of dive systems on board the assets.

  • Co-ordinate with the various departments to ensure compliance with Class, Flag State and management system requirements.

  • Co-ordination of repair and maintenance periods, dry docking and special projects.

  • Maintain a high quality working environment on board.

  • Alongside the Head of Assets ensure the quality of staff and crew, with supervision, development and coaching.

  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders within the business unit.

  • Oversee the preparation and management of vessel / project budgets.

  • Monitor and approve all budgeted vessel expenditures.

  • Monitor budget and input to monthly reporting on expenditure and forecasting with vessel finance team.
