Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting experienced teachers for general cover roles across Newcastle, Northumberland and surrounding areas, offering flexible, high‑impact work across a variety of subjects and schools.

You will deliver lessons, supervise classes, maintain high standards of behaviour, support KS3/KS4 learners, and assist with assessments and classroom administration, working with a dedicated consultant to secure suitable assignments.

Qualifications

• QTS
• Recent teaching experience across KS3/KS4
• Ability to deliver lessons in multiple subjects (general cover)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons across multiple subjects following schemes of work
• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Maintain high standards of student behaviour and engagement
• Support learning for KS3 and KS4 students
• Assist with exam preparation, assessments and classroom administration
• Work with staff to ensure smooth lesson handovers
