Job summary

CBRE Local UK is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer in Horsham to maintain and improve site machinery, perform fault finding, and ensure safety compliance. You will work with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems and PLCs, planning daily tasks and coordinating with Site Services.

The role requires an apprenticeship or recognised qualification and strong experience in manufacturing maintenance, including 3‑phase motors and drives, with flexibility for overtime or nights as needed.

Qualifications

Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualification.
Proven maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition / City & Guilds.
Mechanical competence to standard.
Ability to fault find on machinery.
Experience with 3-phase motors and drives.
Hydraulic and pneumatic system experience.
PLC diagnostics/repair capabilities.
Ability to supervise contractors.
Ability to write risk assessments and method statements.

Responsibilities

Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including updating drawings and identifying critical spares.
Improve performance of machinery and implement preventative maintenance program.
Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment.
Fault find on all types of machinery.
Support others in Health and Safety.
Complete required documentation per rules and legislation.
Work on Three Phase Systems up to 440V.
Work on Motors, Gearboxes, Valves with Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical Systems.
Plan daily work using CAFM Maintenance System; communicate via email/calendar.
Liaise with onsite Site Services to manage Building Services issues and deputise Shift Leader when required.
