Job summary

CBRE Local UK in Leighton Buzzard area is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant, equipment and building services.

The role requires a recognised apprenticeship and strong experience in manufacturing maintenance, with hands-on expertise in 3-phase motors, drives, hydraulics and pneumatics.

You will work on a range of heavy machines and overhead cranes, documenting activities in CAFM and coordinating with the client on maintenance requests.

Qualifications

• A recognised or time served apprenticeship.
• Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition (City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2).
• Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standard.
• Experience on 3-phase motors, drives and inverters.
• Hydraulic / Pneumatic experience.
• Ability to fault find.
• NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks through equipment on site, including updating drawings and spares.
• Maintain production environment; perform PMs on machinery.
• Fault finding on all types of machinery.
• Support Health and Safety within the department.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise for heavy machines and cranes.
• Write and follow risk assessments and ensure safety compliance.
• Complete required documentation per rules and legislation.
• Work on 440V three-phase systems.
• Work on motors, gearboxes, valves; hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Use CAFM system to plan and record tasks.
• Plan daily work using emails/calendars to stay organized.
• Liaise with Site Services to resolve building services issues.
• Be responsible for the department and deputise the Shift Leader.
• Overtime as required, including nights/weekends.
• Perform ad hoc duties.
