Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events is looking for a Sourcing Project Manager to guide clients through every step, building trust and loyalty while shaping memorable events in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You will source venues, negotiate terms, create compelling proposals, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to exceed client expectations. This hybrid London-based role requires strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing for various event types and locations.
• Strong knowledge of venues and supplier networks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule brief intake calls, listen to requirements, and contribute to briefing improvements.
• Identify opportunities to upsell services beyond sourcing to gain client buy-in from the start.
• Define who must deliver any supplementary services and ensure they meet deadlines.
• Source suitable venues/locations, negotiate rates and terms within client budgets.
• Create comprehensive proposals and present them to add value through consultancy and recommendations.
• Act as the primary client contact, manage supplier communications, and drive opportunities to close.

As a Sourcing Project Manager, You Will

• Schedule brief intake calls. Listen well to understand requirements, have input to optimise the brief & exceed expectations.
• Identify opportunities to ‘upsell’ services outside of sourcing and help the client to understand the value of doing so to gain their buy in from the outset.
• Establish who will be required to deliver any supplementary services, ensure they understand their responsibilities and deliver within timeframes set.
• Use all available resources to source suitable venues & locations that meet requirements and negotiate rates & terms that meet client budget and guidelines.
• Create proposals that include all the information for clients to make decisions. Present them in a way that enables you to add value through consultancy & recommendations.
• Be the primary point of contact for the client, manage communications with suppliers & within BCD, use all reasonable endeavors & tenacity to convert the opportunity.
• Manage the contracting & payment process, highlight risks and negotiate effectively to minimise them.

You Might Also Have

• A knack for managing and planning various types of events.
• Experience sourcing for different event types and locations.
• Strong knowledge of industry venues and supplier connections.
• Excellent communication skills with a flair for presentations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with venue booking systems.

You Should Know

• This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in either the London office
• The shift patterns for venue search are 9-5:30, 8:30-5 or 9:30-6 on a rotate basis, with an hours lunch break
• You must have the right to work in the UK
