Job summary

Venture Search, a leading UK-based venture capital firm, is seeking an Investment Analyst or Associate to join its investment team. You will work across the full investment cycle, building conviction in the firms' portfolio and developing into a credible investor in your own right.

You will source opportunities, support diligence and deal execution, and collaborate with founders before, during and after investment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in VC, startups, technology, finance or similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, research and financial modelling capabilities.
• Commercial mindset with ability to assess scalability and value.
• Proven ability to build relationships and source opportunities through an expanding personal network.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity and willingness to challenge established thinking.
• Ability to form independent, evidence-based views.
• Genuine interest in technology and its real-world applications.
• Collaborative, with willingness to take ownership in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Source opportunities across UK, Europe and US with a clear view of potential.
• Build relationships with founders, investors, operators and technical specialists.
• Conduct market research, commercial analysis and financial modelling to inform investment decisions.
• Contribute to investment decisions and deal execution.
• Develop expertise in specific markets or technologies and translate knowledge into actionable insights.
• Support portfolio companies with market intelligence and connections.
