Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a senior Ventilation Package Manager for a Central London project. You will own the ventilation and ductwork packages and lead a small team of engineers within a major commercial development.

You will coordinate multiple ductwork contractors, monitor progress to programme, and ensure QA/QC, fire and smoke compliance. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving and effective interface with the broader M&E and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Senior level with proven delivery of ventilation/ductwork on large commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC, fire and smoke compliance and snagging.
• Ability to lead engineers and subcontractors while owning the package.

Responsibilities

• Take overall ownership of the ventilation and ductwork packages.
• Support and provide direction to two engineers managing the ventilation works.
• Manage and coordinate multiple ductwork contractors across the project.
• Carry out regular progress walk-downs and monitor installation against programme.
• Review progress, identify delays and drive contractors to meet key milestones.
• Oversee QA/QC of ventilation installations and ensure works meet project specifications.
• Coordinate ventilation works with other M&E disciplines and the wider construction team.
• Review drawings, RAMS and technical submissions.
• Identify and resolve technical, coordination and installation issues.
• Manage snagging, ensuring defects are identified, tracked and closed out efficiently.
• Monitor testing, commissioning and handover requirements.
• Attend coordination, progress and technical meetings.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, engineers, consultants and the main contractor.

VENTILATION PACKAGE MANAGER - CENTRAL LONDON

We are currently seeking a senior and experienced Ventilation Package Manager to join the delivery team on a major commercial development in Central London.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of the ventilation and ductwork packages, while supporting and working alongside two engineers within the project team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing multiple ductwork contractors, ensuring progress, quality, compliance and delivery remain on programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for ensuring the ventilation packages are delivered safely, to programme, specification and required quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate

We are ideally looking for someone senior and experienced, who has previously managed significant ventilation/ductwork packages on large-scale commercial projects.

You should have:

• Strong experience in ventilation and ductwork installation.
• Previous experience as a Ventilation Package Manager, Mechanical Package Manager, Mechanical Manager or similar.
• Experience managing multiple specialist ductwork contractors.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC, fire and smoke compliance and snagging.
• Proven ability to manage engineers and subcontractors while maintaining overall package ownership.
• Excellent knowledge of M&E coordination and construction sequencing.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• The confidence to challenge contractors and drive progress where required.
• Experience working on major commercial developments is highly desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Ventilation Package Manager looking for a minimum 6-month contract on a major Central London commercial development, with significant responsibility for the successful delivery of the ventilation packages.
