Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Workshop Shift Supervisor for the West Midlands Workshop on a permanent basis. The role involves leading a shift, coordinating technicians, and ensuring safe, efficient workshop operations.

The role offers a competitive base salary with shift allowances and weekend enhancements. You will report to the Fleet Workshop Manager and be responsible for daily leadership, inspections, and timely completion of work orders, with opportunities for career development and training

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced leader with ability to manage vehicle technicians.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety practices in workshop environments.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across a shift in line with production planning.
• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Manage stock control and ensure accurate work orders and vehicle documentation.
• Support workshop management and deliver a safe, efficient operation.
