Job summary

Activate Accident Repair Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Vehicle Valeter to join our team. You will be responsible for valeting customer and courtesy vehicles, delivering high standards of cleanliness and presentation for customers.

We offer a Real Living Wage employer status with opportunities for development within Activate Group across the UK. The role involves working Monday to Friday across 45 hours per week, based at our Tunbridge Wells site.

Qualifications

• Full driving license with the correct classification to carryout duties.
• Logistics experience is desirable for coordinating vehicle movements.
• Experience of vehicle appraisal is beneficial for assessing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Valeting of customer and courtesy vehicles to high standards.
• Ensure vehicles are washed, vacuumed, cleaned and polished.
• Report accidents or incidents to Bodyshop Manager promptly.
• Confirm any damage or cleanliness issues with reception.
• Notify customer of delays when applicable.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and housekeeping policies.
• Complete fuel and drivers log paperwork.

We're looking for a Vehicle Valeter to join our team, and play a key role at Activate Accident Repair Tunbridge Wells.

Role Overview:

Valeting of customer and courtesy vehicles, dealing with customers in a professional manner, ensuring high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring all vehicles are washed, vacuumed, cleaned and polished using the approved materials and equipment in order to present to the customer, where necessary, clean upholstery and carpets and when requested to do so steam clean engines and engine compartments.
• Cleaning vehicles (customer and courtesy cars) ready for customer collection to a standard that reinforces the customers feeling that they have received first class service.
• Report any accidents, incidents to your Bodyshop Manager without delay.
• Confirm any damage or cleanliness issues with reception team.
• Notify customer and reception when a delay is imminent.
• To be aware of and adhere to all the Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and working environment. e.g. driving whilst under the influence of sleep-inducing medication, driving vehicles for which you are not insured or trained. Chemicals, fluids and cleaning agents used in the cleaning process.
• Complete necessary office paperwork - fuel and drivers log
