Job summary

GS Plus Ltd is recruiting Vehicle Technicians for the Royal Borough of Greenwich fleet. You will service, repair and maintain a mixed fleet of vehicles from cars to HGV/PSV in a large, modern workshop with DVSA testing facilities.

The role offers a 40-hour week, 7.30am–6pm shifts, with optional overtime and a £53,919.50 annual salary. Call-out payments of £200/week are available if included in the rota.

Qualifications

• Experience with a mixed fleet of vehicles (cars, vans, HGV/PSV).
• City and Guilds/IMI qualification or equivalent is required.
• Full UK driving licence and at least one year driving history.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and general maintenance of fleet vehicles to high standards.
• Work under Workshop Manager supervision in a modern, well-equipped depot.

GS Plus Ltd are now looking to recruit Vehicle Technicians.

The Company provides full fleet maintenance provision for Royal Borough of Greenwich we conduct service repairs & MOTs on a large fleet of vehicles, ranging from cars to HGV/PSV and items of plant. We have a large modern well equipped heated workshop, with DVSA MOT Testing Stations for all classes of light and heavy vehicles, plus provide an ADAS and 4-wheel Alignment Centre.

Annual Salary: £53,919.50. per annum.

Hours: 40 hours, 5-days a week Monday - Friday shifts between 7.30am -6pm overtime available.

Location: Birchmere Depot, Thamesmead, London SE28 8BF

In addition, you can receive a Call out Payment of £200 per week should you wish to be included on a schedule rota system. (this is optional)

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be expected to undertake a full range of tasks and activities related to the service, repair, and general maintenance of the fleet of vehicles to an appropriate standard. Knowledge of all aspects of a mixed fleet is an advantage.

Essential Requirements

• You must be an experienced HGV/PSV Vehicle Technician/Fitter - with experience of a mixed vehicle fleet.
• City and Guild's / IMI qualification or equivalent experience minimum 3 years.
• Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, and have been driving for at least one year, also HGV/PSV Licence.(Desirable)
• Hold and own comprehensive tool kit.
• Must be Self - Motivated and able to work on own initiative.
