Job summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy independent garage in Barnet. This role offers Monday to Friday hours (8:00am–5:00pm) with no weekend work, a supportive team, and the chance to grow with a expanding workshop.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience, strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and own tools. Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential with the right experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Own tools are essential.
• Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with the right experience.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well within a small team.
• Reliable, hardworking and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, exhausts and general mechanical work.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work closely with the existing team to deliver excellent customer service.
