Silcom Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well-established, family-run independent garage in Waterlooville, who are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team. This role offers a busy, friendly environment with modern facilities and up-to-date diagnostic equipment.

You will carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Previous experience in a main dealer or independent garage environment is essential.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.

Responsabilités

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Undertake repairs involving brakes, clutches, suspension, steering, and other vehicle components.
• Complete vehicle inspections and health checks, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard.
• Identify additional work required and communicate findings clearly to the workshop team.
• Work efficiently and accurately, maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

The Role:

Our client has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality vehicle servicing, MOT testing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs. Working on a wide range of makes and models, this is a fantastic opportunity for a technician with strong mechanical knowledge to join a friendly, experienced, and professional workshop environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.

Undertake repairs involving brakes, clutches, suspension, steering, and other vehicle components.

The Package:

Salary: Up to £45,000 basic!

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm - No Weekends!
