Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Southampton (SO19) is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. You’ll handle routine servicing, electrical fault-finding and comprehensive mechanical repairs across a range of makes and models.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, hands-on workshop experience, a full UK driving licence, and your own hand tools. Base is Southampton with free on-site parking; hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, no weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Hands-on workshop experience with servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, electrical fault-finding and comprehensive mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose faults across a range of makes and models in a busy workshop.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 basic per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (NO WEEKENDS)
• Perks: Extended Christmas closure from Christmas Eve right through to the beginning of January, family-run business atmosphere, and free secure on-site parking
• Workload: Routine servicing, electrical diagnostics, and general mechanical repairs in a well-established independent setting
