Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Winchester is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Specialist to join our workshop team. You will conduct advanced electrical fault-finding, interpret CAN bus data, and lead complex repairs with minimal supervision.

As the senior technician, you will mentor colleagues, approve technical approaches, and maintain high workshop standards while delivering reliable, diagnostic-heavy service for petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Proven senior/diagnostic technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
• Independent problem-solving with collaborative team support.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools; EV/Hybrid certifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced electrical fault-finding and diagnose issues.
• Interpret CAN bus communications and live data for diagnostics.
• Perform complex mechanical repairs and servicing.
• Mentor junior technicians and act as workshop technical lead.
