Job summary

Halfords is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our Newport Autocentre. You will carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and undertake a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work.

With a base salary of £35,000 and an uncapped bonus scheme averaging around £6,000 per year, on-target earnings reach up to £41,000. We offer excellent training, progression opportunities and a benefits package as part of the UK’s leading automotive services group.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Valid MOT Testing Licence
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on vehicles.
• Contribute to delivering excellent customer experience and safe road use.
