Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Woking, Surrey, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join a reputable family-run garage. You will service, maintain and repair a range of vehicles, including light commercial vans, and perform Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards.

You will work in a modern workshop with advanced diagnostic equipment, enjoy extensive training opportunities and a clear path for career progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Strong diagnostic skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Qualified to perform Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations.
• Local to Woking or willing to travel and commit to long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicles, including light commercial vans.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Perform Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workshop operations.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technologies, including Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of work undertaken and parts used.
