Job summary

Kemp Recruitment are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for their busy workshop in Bristol. You will join a skilled team carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards using the latest diagnostic equipment.

The role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, a basic salary of £34,398 with OTE up to £55,000 and benefits including overtime, pension, car scheme and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IMI / NVQ Vehicle Technician qualification.
• MOT Tester licence required.
• Experience in a main dealer or busy workshop is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and maintenance of customer vehicles.
• Mechanical repairs and fault finding.
• Vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required.
• Completing repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems.
• Keeping accurate job records.
• Working closely with Service Advisors and the workshop team.
• Carrying out MOT testing.

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester - Bristol

Salary: £34,398 basic, OTE up to £55,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm (42 hours paid per week, 45 minute lunch).

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Kemp Recruitment are working with one of the UK's largest manufacturer-owned main dealer groups, representing several major car and van brands, to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for their busy workshop in Bristol.

The Role

You will join a skilled workshop team carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.

What You Will Do

• Routine servicing and maintenance of customer vehicles
• Mechanical repairs and fault finding
• Vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required
• Completing repairs safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards
• Using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems
• Keeping accurate job records
• Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team
• Carrying out MOT testing

What We Are Looking For

• Level 3 IMI / NVQ qualified Vehicle Technician
• MOT Tester licence
• Previous main dealer or workshop experience beneficial
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Full UK Driving Licence
