Job summary

Halfords Garage Services is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our Fusion Centre. Lead the way in first-class customer experience and car care, with training and development supported.

As an experienced mechanic, you’ll perform MOT tests to DVSA standards and a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, from diagnostics to routine services, ensuring every job meets the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Valid MOT Testing Licence.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and perform a wide range of maintenance and repair work.
• Diagnose faults and carry out routine servicing to high standards.

Job description

• On-target earnings up to £42,200
• Comprising a base salary of £36,000
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,200 per year.

As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you’ll carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work. From advanced diagnostics & repairs to routine services, you’ll ensure every job is done to the highest standard.
