Job summary

Halfords is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our team. If you're an experienced mechanic with a passion for delivering excellent customer experience and keeping vehicles safe on the road, we want to hear from you.

As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you'll carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work—from advanced diagnostics to routine services—ensuring every job is done to the highest standard.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Must hold valid MOT Testing Licence.
• Full UK driving license with no more than 9 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair work from diagnostics to routine services.
• Ensure every job is completed to the highest standard.

Skills

Level 3 qualified in Light Vehicle M&R

Valid MOT Testing Licence

On-target earnings up to £42,800 comprising a base salary of £34,000 - £36,000. An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,800 per year. 5 days a week (this centre is closed on Sunday's). Earn extra with our refer a friend scheme - T&C's. Skills and Experience
