Hawk Hiring in Bath is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Service Specialist to join our busy dealership workshop. You will perform routine servicing, repairs to strict brand standards, and participate in ongoing technical training.

The role offers Monday to Friday work with no weekend shifts, a salary of £35,000–£40,000 with a performance bonus scheme, health, life insurance, a pension, and on-site parking along with substantial employee discounts on vehicles and servicing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is essential.
• Ideally 2+ years in a busy workshop.
• F-Gas certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Full UK driving licence required; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and complex mechanical repairs to brand standards.
• Perform MOT inspections if qualified, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Maintain high workmanship standards expected by customers.
• Work with modern vehicle systems and engage in ongoing training.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a workshop team with minimal supervision.

Your Role

As a vital member of our Bath technical team, you will:

• Carry out routine servicing, complex mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance to strict brand standards.
• Perform MOT inspections (if qualified) ensuring safety and compliance.
• Maintain the high standards of workmanship our customers expect.
• Work with modern vehicle systems and participate in ongoing technical training.
• Work effectively as a team player with the ability to manage your own workflow under minimum supervision.

What You Need

• Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) is essential. Ideally at least two years of experience in a busy, high-quality workshop environment. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: Full UK driving licence is required. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Attributes: Presentable, self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic about automotive engineering.
