Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Bath is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop. You will carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to high standards, with modern diagnostic tools and a focus on first-time fixes.

Qualified candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, 1–2 years in a workshop, and a Full UK licence. MOT testing is preferred but not required. Enjoy a weekday schedule with zero weekend shifts.

• Minimum 1–2 years hands-on workshop experience.
• F-Gas certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.

Your Role

As a vital member of our Bath technical team, you will:

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, complex mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance to high technical standards.
• Perform MOT inspections (if qualified) in strict accordance with DVSA guidelines.
• Utilize modern diagnostic software and equipment to systematically fault-find and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain precise digital job records and deliver safe, clean "first-time fix" results.
• Work effectively as a team player, managing your own workflow smoothly under minimal supervision.

What You Need

• Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a busy workshop setting. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: Full UK driving licence is required. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools. Self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic about modern automotive engineering.
