Job summary

Thurlow Nunn is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for our Luton branch. Join a family‑owned group with a history of automotive excellence and a supportive team culture.

You will service, diagnose, and repair vehicles, using manufacturer guidelines to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. You should hold an NVQ Level 3 in light vehicle maintenance and repair along with an MOT Tester Licence, own tools, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or equivalent.
• Must hold an MOT Tester Licence.
• Own tools required for the role.
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician or relevant automotive qualification.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical skills.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop.
• A full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service a range of vehicles per manufacturer guidelines.
• Identify defects and report for customer authorisation.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, diagnostics and repairs per guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, servicing, tyres, brakes, fluids.
• Ensure work meets high quality standards and timeframes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive team environment.
