  • Full UK driving licence required.

Vehicle Technician - Portsmouth

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Portsmouth

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30 (No weekends)

Alecto Recruitment is proudly recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded and progressive automotive business in Portsmouth, currently seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated workshop team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out scheduled servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on a range of vehicles
  • Diagnosing faults accurately using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Completing all necessary documentation and service records to a high standard
  • Performing quality checks and ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and safety standards
  • Communicating with service advisors and workshop control to ensure timely completion of work
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced technicians where required
Candidate Requirements:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a technician role within a main dealer or quality independent workshop
  • MOT Tester certification is desirable but not essential
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence
