We are a busy local independent garage looking to recruit a new member of staff to work alongside our existing team.

The ideal candidate for this position should have experience with the maintenance and repair of vehicles.

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintaining, servicing and repairs of all makes of vehicles
• Carry out routine repairs to brakes, suspension, exhaust, clutch, timing belts and tyres
• Carrying out diagnostic and electrical testing on vehicles
• Prepare vehicles for sale
• Diagnose engine and transmission problems
• Communicating with colleagues and customers as when required

Experience and qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 or equivalent
• Have good problem-solving skills in diagnosing mechanical issues
• Experienced in the work place
• Have good customer service skills
• MOT class 4 testing licence and EV training would be advantageous but training can be provided
