Job summary

Halfords Garage Services is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our Fusion centre. You will service and repair vehicles, including complex tasks like clutch and timing belt work, with diagnostic duties as needed.

The role offers a base salary of £32,000–£34,000 and an uncapped bonus scheme with average annual earnings around £7,100. We provide opportunities for hybrid training and progression within Halfords’ expanding automotive network, with benefits and a focus on customer experience

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
