Job summary

Royal Mail in Leicester is seeking a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician to join our workshop on a permanent contract. You will work a 39.5-hour week on a rotating shift pattern, with a requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturdays, and have the chance to earn up to £60k including overtime.

You’ll inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair a variety of vehicles, trailers and equipment using your own toolbox and our modern workshop tooling. A strong focus on quality and flexible shift coverage is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic to Level 3 or equivalent in Light or Heavy vehicle.
• Proven Vehicle Technician experience on a wide range of vehicles (LCV/HGV).
• Own toolkit for standard repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Use your own toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles.
• Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern workshops.
