Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a fleet workshop in Barking. You will service, diagnose and repair a varied fleet of cars and vans, ensuring safety and compliance, while working closely with the workshop team.

The role requires Level 2 with 3+ years as a Technician/Mechanic or Level 3 qualification with strong servicing and diagnostic skills. IMI-accredited training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 qualification with 3+ years as a Technician/Mechanic or be fully qualified to Level 3 with servicing, repair and diagnostic experience.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Experience across a varied car and van fleet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of cars and vans.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle faults.
• Inspect vehicles and identify required repairs.
• Complete mechanical repairs safely and efficiently.
• Ensure vehicles remain safe, roadworthy and legally compliant.
• Maintain high workmanship standards across repairs.
• Work with workshop team to maximise fleet availability.
