Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Chippenham is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy franchise team. If you hold Level 2 or Level 3, you can swap quiet garage bays for a high-tech dealership environment.

We will fully fund your manufacturer training and certification pathways, with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, on-site parking, and a supportive team.

The role offers £35,000–£40,000 per year, Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00, plus a light Saturday 08:00–12:30 on a 1-in-2 rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification.
• Full UK driving licence is essential; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.
• Kia experience beneficial but all brands welcome.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, safety inspections, diagnosis and mechanical repairs to brand specifications.
• Use up-to-date diagnostic equipment and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
• Complete digital job cards, service reports and fault descriptions.
• Work with workshop colleagues to maintain smooth workflow.

Skills

Level 2/Level 3 qualification

Full UK driving licence

MOT Tester licence preferred

NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent
