Job summary

Our client in Reading seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a growing workshop team. The role involves diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and complex mechanical repairs across a range of vehicle makes and models.

Requirements include a recognised NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a full UK driving licence and your own tools. The position offers a competitive salary and a supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Significant experience as a Vehicle Technician in a workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own tools.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Work on engines, gearboxes, clutches, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues.
• Complete work efficiently and to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Follow workshop procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate repair records and job documentation.
• Deliver a professional service and support a high standard of customer satisfaction.
