Job summary

The Steven Eagell Group is seeking aVehicle Technician to service, diagnose and repair vehicles to high Toyota GB standards. You will inspect faults, explain findings to customers, and work with a supportive team in a busy service centre.

We value experience, a Level 3 (or 2) qualification, MOT knowledge where possible, and a proactive, safety-minded attitude. Attractive benefits and continuous training are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Level 3 Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician (preferred but will accept Level 2).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry (Toyota/Lexus preferred but not essential).
• MOT Tester qualification (preferred).
• Confident communicator, adept at interacting with various individuals.
• Quick learner, able to pick up specific skills and techniques swiftly.
• Passionate about the automotive industry and eager to work for a leading global manufacturer.
• Process-driven and organized in the workplace.
• Able to work safely and professionally, following company processes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Toyota GB standards.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults, including non-routine issues.
• Identify and report defects in line with MOT and Vehicle Safety Report requirements.
• Complete work within allocated time, maintaining productivity and efficiency.
• Manage tools and workshop equipment with daily care and reporting of defects.
• Communicate with customers to explain work needed or completed clearly.
• Support and coach apprentices to develop skills.
• Attend specialist training to maintain technical expertise.
• Collaborate with Centre team to deliver outstanding service.
