Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a professional workshop in Walton Abbey. The role includes servicing, diagnostics and complex repairs across a range of vehicles, with a salary of £36,000 DOE and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You'll work in a supportive team, with every other Saturday morning shift. The position is full-time and permanent, offering development of diagnostic skills in a stable environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Service Technician.
• Strong mechanical servicing and repair experience.
• Clutch repair and replacement experience.
• Timing chain repair and replacement experience.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A professional and reliable approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• As a Vehicle Technician, carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles.
• Perform routine servicing and vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
• Carry out clutch replacements and repairs.
• Complete timing chain repairs and replacements.
• Perform general mechanical repairs and component replacement.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and health checks.
• Identify additional faults and recommend required repairs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and vehicle safety.
