Job summary

A well-established family-owned service centre in Liphook, Hampshire, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team. You will diagnose faults and perform mechanical repairs to high standards, taking pride in efficient workmanship.

Salary is up to £50,000 per year for a 42.5-hour week, with a Mon-Fri 8:00AM-5:30PM schedule and Saturday mornings on a 1-in-4 rota with overtime. You’ll work with the latest diagnostic and repair equipment in a supportive environment and have career

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Skilled in diagnostic work and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately to a high standard.
• Strong pride in personal and workshop presentation.
• Reliable with a professional attitude.
• MOT testing qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and mechanical repairs including oil changes, tyre fitting, suspension, brakes, and regular servicing in line with manufacturer standards.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify faults and troubleshoot issues.
• Repair or replace faulty parts as needed.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and operate smoothly.
• Assist with MOT testing (desirable but not essential).
• Keep detailed records of work performed and communicate costs and progress to reception.
• Provide excellent customer service and work well within a team.
