Job summary

National Tyres and Autocare, part of the Halfords family, is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic. The role involves servicing, diagnostics and more complex repairs in a busy Autocentre, with opportunities to work on electrics and drivetrain systems.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience, plus a clean driving licence (no more than 9 points). A strong focus on quality and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with diagnostic work on brakes, steering/suspension, engine, and more complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair/replacement work; capable of clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Diagnostics across systems including vehicle electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.
