Hawk Hiring in Maidenhead is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team. You will diagnose and repair a range of mechanical and electrical faults, carry out servicing, and prepare vehicles for MOTs in a modern 6-bay facility.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds) with proven workshop experience.
• F-Gas certification preferred.

Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Maidenhead workshop, you will:

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical & electrical faults across a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, scheduled preventative maintenance, and comprehensive system repairs to high standards.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and handle technical MOT preparation work efficiently.
• Maintain precise digital job records and collaborate closely with the service management team and senior technicians.

What You Need

• Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time‑served equivalent) with a proven track record as a Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks. Strong diagnostic problem‑solving skills, pride in quality workmanship, and a collaborative team attitude.
