Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Portsmouth is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent garage. You will perform routine maintenance, accurate diagnostic fault resolution, and major mechanical repairs to high standards.

Based in Portsmouth with easy road links across Hampshire, we offer a Monday to Friday schedule (no weekends), a negotiable salary between £30,000 and £42,000, and ongoing technical training in a well-equipped workshop.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Repair (or equivalent hands‑on workshop experience).
• 3–5 years of professional workshop experience with solid mechanical and diagnostic competence.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing to high standards.
• Perform accurate diagnostic fault resolution.
• Execute major mechanical repairs (brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts).
