Job summary

Motorpoint Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a PDI Technician to ensure vehicles are mechanically prepared for handover, maintaining our high standards of quality.

You will work 42.5 hours across a 5-day rota, with weekend shifts. The role offers a permanent contract, a £13.10 basic hourly rate plus bonus, and opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification.
• EV qualification desirable with training provided.
• Strong attention to detail during inspections.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults to meet quality benchmarks.
• Follow PDI process including road tests for handover readiness.
• Complete documentation accurately and support vehicle movements.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and collaborate across departments.
• Champion health and safety and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Carry out ad hoc tasks as required.

The Role: PDI Technician

Salary: £13.10 basic + Bonus

Location: Birmingham

Contract Type:Permanent

Hours: 42.5 hours, 5 days out of 7 on a rota - weekend working will be required.

What will you be getting up to?
