Job summary

Gravells Renault is recruiting an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join the team on a full-time basis for a 2-year apprenticeship. You will undertake an Autocare Technician Level 2 Apprenticeship with an option to progress to Level 3 Maintenance and Repair, gaining hands-on experience while attending college.

You will learn diagnostic, testing, servicing and repair tasks, plus how to apply service data, maintain safety standards and keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Learning and assisting in the diagnosis, testing, servicing and repair of motor vehicles.
• Learning how to interpret and apply service/repair data and vehicle literature.
• Ensure vehicles comply with safety and manufacturer standards when returned to customers.
• Complete work request forms accurately with relevant details (damage reports, mileage, VIN).
• Gain knowledge of manufacturer warranty procedures.
• Keep workshop clean and safe with strong health and safety practices.
• Attend college and complete coursework and portfolios within the apprenticeship timespan.
• Protect customer vehicles from damage and use appropriate covers.
• Safely handle tools and report defects promptly.
• Investigate and report vehicle/serviceability issues with electronic checks and videos.
