Hawk Hiring LTD is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our busy independent workshop near Letchworth and Hitchin. You will advance from basic services to official MOT testing and complex diagnostics in a modern facility.

With a base salary of £35,000–£42,000 per year, you will work Monday to Friday 8:00–5:00 with occasional Saturday mornings, in a workshop renowned for precision engineering and hands-on development.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional workshop experience in light vehicle maintenance.
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Repair (or equivalent) is required.
• Active DVSA MOT Tester Licence is highly valued.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT testing to DVSA standards and routine servicing.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Execute engine rebuilds and specialist retrofit projects as required.
• Use dealer-level diagnostic platforms for advanced diagnostics.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 basic per annum (dependent on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM + just one Saturday morning per month
