Job summary

Autotech Recruit is seeking a Vehicle Technician for an established automotive retailer’s workshop. You will service, diagnose, and repair a range of vehicles, including mechanical and electrical work and EV/Hybrid support, while maintaining manufacturer standards.

You will hold an NVQ Level 3 or be working toward it, possess a full UK driving licence, and contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction through teamwork and quality workmanship. Training and progression are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or actively working towards completion.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• MOT Licence and EV/Hybrid qualifications beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on a range of vehicles.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, wheel bearings and air conditioning.
• Support EV and Hybrid vehicle maintenance as required.

The Role

An established automotive retailer is looking for a Vehicle Technician to join its workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on a range of vehicles.
• Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, wheel bearings and air conditioning.
• Supporting EV and Hybrid vehicle maintenance where required.
• Completing vehicle health checks and service documentation to manufacturer standards.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or working towards completion.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, MOT Tester, Auto Electrician, HGV Technician or similar.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• MOT Licence and EV/Hybrid qualifications beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to work to a high standard within a team-focused workshop environment.
