Qualifications

• MUST have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
• Full valid driver license with no major convictions.
• 5 years of relevant service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and general maintenance.
• Conduct road testing and repairs on various vehicle components.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Automotive Vehicle Technician

• Basic Salary 28,000 - 35,000
• Bonus available of up to 500 per month
• Mon-Fri operating hours of 8am-6pm (on a shift pattern of 42 hrs a week)

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Servicing
• Diagnostic work
• General maintenance and repairs
• Brakes checks and changes (pads and discs)
• Suspension work
• Road testing vehicles after repair
• Repairing and replacing wheel bearings, alternators, and head gaskets
• MOT Prep & Post MOT repairs
• Change tyres, complete puncture repairs, wheel alignment and balancing
• Repairing and replacing exhausts, steering racks, and water pumps
• Repairing and replacing radiators, clutches and gearboxes
• Timing Belts & Cambelt replacements
• Oil changes and part changes e.g. Filters

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• MUST have an NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI certifications required to Level 3 or Level 2 accepted with a minimum of 5 years services
• MUST hold a full valid driver license - No major driving convictions DD, DR, IN
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
• Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
