Qualifications

• Level 2 NVQ in vehicle repair or servicing is required.

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician is essential.
• MOT licence is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair engines, brakes, transmissions and other components.
• Carry out routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks.
• Coordinate with the service department to ensure smooth workflow.
• Complete vehicle safety inspections and prepare reports.
• Document work performed accurately.

Duties:

• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, and other critical components
• Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
• Communicate effectively with the service department to ensure smooth workflow
• Complete vehicle safety inspections and prepare reports
• Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet customer deadlines
• Uphold high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of vehicle servicing

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Level 2 NVQ or equivalent qualification in vehicle repair or servicing
• Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points
• Prior experience as a Vehicle Technician is essential
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Confident in diagnosing vehicle faults and executing repairs effectively
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and follow safety protocols
• Ideally, hold an MOT licence, although this is not a strict requirement
• Friendly, driven attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
