Job summary

Toomey Motor Group is seeking diligent vehicle technicians for our Southend location. You will service, diagnose, maintain and repair customer vehicles while delivering excellent customer service and professional appearance.

We offer in-house and manufacturer training, with a rewarding financial package. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and salary depends on experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent, certificates to interview.
• Hold a valid UK manual driving license with up to 3 points.
• Experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic with cars.
• MOT tester is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
• Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide customer service.
• Participate in in-house and manufacturer-based training.

We are looking for a practically minded, hard-working and committed individuals who are looking to extend their skills into a rewarding career in the automotive industry within our Nissan/Renault brand at our Southend location.

We are looking for Technicians, Semi-skilled Technicians with a 3 level qualification and a background in warranty repairs and procedures.

You should have demonstrated experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic with cars.

You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. We offer an excellent working environment with in-house and Manufacturer supplied training and an exceptionally rewarding financial package.

Requirements

• NVQ/City & Guilds certifications required (Equivalent certifications can be accepted to a level 3 standard). Please bring certificates to your interview.
• Hold a valid UK manual driving license with no more than 3 points
• Ability to provide a friendly customer service and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Flexible and willing to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use the diagnostic equipment
• MOT tester ideal - but not essential.

The Role
