Job summary

Pybus Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for a premium brand dealership in Sunderland. You will join a busy workshop, carry out vehicle health checks, servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards, and road test customer vehicles.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), has motor industry experience and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is required.
• Motor industry experience beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle health checks using diagnostic equipment.
• Service vehicles per manufacturer guidelines and customer requests.
• Carry out repairs after customer authorisation.
• Complete warranty repairs per guidelines and document work.
• Road test vehicles to confirm faults are resolved.
• Complete all required paperwork to high standards.

Job Title: Vehicle Technician – Premium Brand Dealership

Location: Sunderland SR5

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £34,000-£36000 basic plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus and uncapped Time Saved Bonus Scheme (dependent on level)-OTE £42000-£45000

Flexible Hours Available

• 40 hours Monday-Friday (08:30-17:00), plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (08:30-12:30)
• Fixed 4-day working week (Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri, 42 hours)

Overview

We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our fantastic workshop. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will play a vital role in carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and completing any additional repairs.

Reporting to the Aftersales Management team, you will receive ongoing support and access to excellent career progression opportunities, including manufacturer-accredited programme’s and Hybrid & Electric Vehicle training.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
• Conducting vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
• Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
• Completing warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed accurately
• Road testing customer vehicles to ensure faults have been rectified
• Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard

About You

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), motor industry experience, and a full and valid UK driving licence.

You will be self-motivated, supportive of your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.

Previous manufacturer experience is desirable but not essential, as full accreditation training will be provided. Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience would also be advantageous but is not essential.
