Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire in Runcorn is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair our fleet, ensuring safety and compliance for customer hire. The role requires a Level 3 Technician qualification or equivalent, with opportunities to develop skills through our IMI accredited training department.

You will join a team of technicians, supported by a strong benefits package and a culture focused on quality, reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Safe and compliant vehicle maintenance experience expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair our vehicle fleet to ensure safety and legality for hire.
• Diagnose faults and carry out servicing and repairs as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet branch targets and service levels.

Weekly Hours: 42.5 hours / Day Shifts Only. As and when required overtime is available and this is paid at time and half.

Our Runcorn site is home to Northgate Vehicle Hire and our sister companies Auxillis and Charged EV, with a total of 41 colleagues. The workshop is supported by a wealth of experience from our Workshop and Branch Managers, with a stream of work from Regional and National Key accounts and a fleet of 1700 vehicles, you will join a team of 5 technicians to support the growth of the branch. Situated in close proximity to the motorway and local supermarkets. Runcorn has a great team spirit!

About you:

As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for our customers to hire. If you are a fully qualified Level 3 Technician / Mechanic, we would love to hear from you.

About our training:

We have our own internal IMI accredited training department, where we can upskill you on such things as Hybrid & EV vehicle repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics etc:
