Job summary

JLD Recruit Ltd is helping a busy workshop recruit a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Poulton le Fylde, near Blackpool. You will service, maintain and repair private and commercial vehicles using diagnostic equipment and manuals.

The role requires confidence with tools, the ability to work independently, and a focus on quality and safety. You will typically work one Saturday every other week, with a salary between £35,000 and £42,000 per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability and a genuine interest in the industry.
• Confident on the tools and able to work independently.
• Organised, reliable and motivated.
• Good problem solving ability and attention to detail.
• Welding experience and previous workshop experience an advantage, though not essential for the right person.

Responsibilities

A busy workshop looking to bring in a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician to strengthen their team. They are open on experience level, so whether you are already highly experienced or simply have the right attitude, strong mechanical ability and a passion for the industry, they would be interested in speaking with you.

The Vehicle Technician Role

A varied role working across both private and commercial vehicles, carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding in a busy workshop environment. You will use diagnostic equipment, technical manuals and workshop tools daily, so they are looking for someone confident on the tools and capable of working independently when required.
