Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous workshop experience or genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is advantageous but not essential.
• Practical experience in vehicle servicing or repair.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to skill development.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team-based environment.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
• Assist senior technicians with complex mechanical and technical tasks.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, fault diagnosis, and identify issues with guidance as needed.
• Develop diagnostic skills, particularly in modern vehicle systems and electrical components.
• Work toward achieving advanced qualifications, including Level 3 and electric vehicle training.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workshop operation.

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-run automotive business located in Oldham, Greater Manchester. • Competitive basic salary of £24,000 – £28,000, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday working hours, generally around 7:30am – 5:00pm
