Job summary

Resource Management Solutions (RMS) is seeking several L3 Vehicle Technicians for a prestigious automotive client in Corby. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs to manufacturers' standards, and ensure vehicles are mechanically sound before dispatch.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 2x shift rotation 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. You must have an L3 NVQ in Mechanics, a valid license with fewer than 6 points, and at least 2 years' Pre-Delivery Inspection experience.

Qualifications

• L3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Mechanics or similar.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Pre Delivery Inspections.
• Valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 penalty points and no DR10 offenses.
• Must be able to pass a skills test and demonstrate diagnostic capability.
• Understand health and safety regulations and cooperate with managers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Service a variety of vehicle models and light commercial vehicles.
• Repair or replace faulty parts by removing assemblies.
• Dismantle and check parts using manuals.
• Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired parts.
• Test and repair electrical systems.
• Keep workshop tools and equipment clean and in good condition.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations in the workshop.
• Participate in training sessions to improve skills.
• Undertake other duties commensurate with the role.

About The Role

Working under the supervision and co-ordination of the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults in products and to carry out any necessary repairs to ensure vehicles are mechanically sound prior to dispatch and that all vehicles comply with company and client regulations.

Role Responsibilities

• To diagnose faults in vehicles and to carry out repairs to the manufactures standards effectively and to ensure work is completed within standard operational timeframes.
• To carry out servicing on a variety of vehicle models and light commercial vehicles
• To repair or replace work or faulty parts by removing assemblies
• To dismantle and check parts, referring to manuals if necessary.
• To reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts or assembles.
• To test and repair electric systems.
• To keep workshop tools and equipment clean, organised, and in good working condition.
• To adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures within the workshop.
• To participate in training sessions and workshops to improve technical skills and knowledge.
• Undertake other duties as directed commensurate with the level of the job function.

About you?

• To be successful, you must be over 22 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
• To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to work the specified shift times above.
• The be successful, you must have a L3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Mechanics or similar.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience Pre Delivery Inspections.
• The ideal candidate will be required to complete a skills test and evidence diagnostic capability.
• The ideal candidate will understand health and safety and cooperate with managers to comply with Health & Safety regulations.
